Electrocardiography (ECG)

An Electrocardiography test, commonly known as an ECG, records the electrical activity of your heart through small sensors placed on the skin. It is quick, painless and a routine part of cardiac assessment.

The recording can help detect irregular heart rhythms, signs of strain and other electrical changes. While a normal ECG is reassuring, it captures only a moment in time, so any concerns may lead to further monitoring or tests for a fuller view of your heart.
