Postprandial Blood Glucose

Postprandial Blood Glucose measures the level of sugar in your blood a set time after eating, usually around two hours. This shows how effectively your body handles glucose following a meal.

This test is used in the assessment of diabetes and prediabetes and can reveal raised blood sugar that a fasting test alone might miss. A higher than expected result may indicate that the body is not managing glucose well and is interpreted alongside other glucose tests.
